Walk the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and follow it up with a less strenuous trip to The Bridge to Nowhere.  This includes a jetboat ride up the Whanganui River to the Bridge where there is a short walk into the Whanganui Forest Park.  Transport to and from Pipiriki is provided.
